  1. Open PaceKeeper on the watch. Hold UP → PAIR → type the six characters → done.
  2. The top line reads SYNCED JUST NOW. If it says CODE REFUSED, mint a fresh one — a code lives ten minutes and works once.
  3. The PaceKeeper fuel data field is a second app with its own settings; if you ride with it, it pairs separately (its code goes into the field's settings).

The device pulls, you never push

The Karoo polls every ten minutes while idle and at ride start; the Fenix pulls when you open PaceKeeper. Both offer SYNC NOW.

Newest plan and your product list, for this device token

Two requests, cached locally so a dead zone cannot lose them; then the device reports back what it is holding — the HOLDING line above.

Falls back to your default gels and drinks

No plan, no signal, expired token — it rides with the defaults instead of blanking, and stamps pk_fallback.

Logs what you actually took

Pushed back on the next connection and reconciled against the stash, deduped on the intake uid pair.
